I thought this would be useful for some of you new to the joys of php2 forums:
The easiest way to post pics on a php2 forum like this one is to hot link from a photo storage site. Don't panic, it's dead easy - here's what you do:
1. Go to
http://www.photobucket.com and sign up for an account
2. Upload some pics
3. Underneath each pic you upload they very kindly give you the tagged locations of the pics on their servers in different formats. Click on the IMG one (the one used most on this kind of forum) and it automatically puts the IMG tag for that pic into your Windows clipboard.
4. Switch to the reply text box on the forum of your choice and simply hit CTRL-V or right click and paste at the place you want the pic in the text.
When you Preview or Submit, hey presto, the pic you wanted is there.
Cos this pic is really stored on a different server to the forum, this is called hotlinking and is generally frowned upon by the websites hosting the pics because it steals their bandwidth (which they have to pay for) without you visiting their site. However, photobucket exists to hotlink for ebay and forum pics, so you can rest easy that you are not annoying anyone.
Hope you found that useful and informative, please leave a tip on the way out.
