Hi All
There will be an EGM at the Griff on Thursday 17th October, at 19:30. The only agenda for the meeting is the 'unity' process. It is the intention that a vote will be taken at the end of the meeting, to give the go ahead to the formal changeover process. There is, however, an understanding that the vote may be deferred due to the lack of information available to the members at the meeting the other week, because the representatives from CISWO and CIU didn't turn up.
I believe the voting regime is 1 member, 1 vote, so I would like as many of our members to be there as possible. I believe that we should vote for the unity process, I don't think G & C has any choice but to go ahead with this.
Going forward with the process doesn't change our position within the G & C. The document finally handed to me explaining rights and responsibilities is very vague, with nothing more than we must be insured, have 2 signatories, submit accounts, etc. There will be no further information, and therefore, I believe no need for commitment from ourselves, until the new trustees have been appointed, and the rest of the rules written.
Sorry I won't be at archery again this week, hopefully I will have a bit more time after this week, when I have submitted my uni project.
See you Thursday
Neil
p.s. I had a girl phone me today asking if she could come for a taster session, so hopefully she should be there tomorrow.

I think we should have a committee meeting before this to review the material and discuss this.
